Registration for the LGBT People’s Caucus closes on August 31

Registration for the LGBT People’s Caucus will close on Wednesday, August 31 so please register today! Here are all the details you need to know about the event before you register: LOCATION & SCHEDULE The LGBT People’s Caucus is happening on Saturday, September 17 & Sunday, September 18. We’re holding the Caucus at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, Colorado. Here’s why. Want to know what’s going to happen at the Caucus? Here’s a rough schedule. As you’ll see in our schedule, the Caucus officially gets started on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. We’re kicking the day off with a bang so don’t be late (but eat breakfast before you come!). We’ll have two full, exciting days of caucusing, and we’ll wrap up around 3 p.m. on Sunday. Folks who would like to do so are welcome to arrive on Friday night for some low-key fun that evening as well as Saturday morning breakfast. We hope the option to come on Friday night will help people from far distances attend the summit. On Saturday night, we’ll have some exciting activities planned so we hope you’ll stick around. And don’t worry, your registration fees include the fun! Although we’d love for people to stay one or two nights and experience the entire summit, we know that isn’t possible for everyone. No worries — we’re able to accommodate folks who can’t attend on both days or who don’t need lodging at all. FEES, SCHOLARSHIPS, & LODGING Unfortunately, attending the Caucus isn’t free, but we’ve tried to keep the fees affordable. Caucus fees are listed on the registration pages and include your lodging and your meals. The fees associated with attending the Caucus are based on how many other folks you’re willing to room with (the more roommates you have, the less you pay). You can room alone, with one other person, or with three other people. You can request specific roommates, or we’re happy to place you with other kind folks. After you register, you’ll be taken to a page where you can tell us about your rooming preferences. No matter how many folks you room with, all rooms are the same. They include two queen-sized beds and a pull-out sofa bed or a cot. Keep that in mind when letting us know how many people you’re willing to room with. The deadline to apply for scholarships was August 24. If you applied for a scholarship but have not been contacted, please e-mail Mac Simon at macs@one-colorado.org. EXTRAS If you have special needs like dietary restrictions or accessibility concerns, you’ll be able to let us know after you register. The conference will end at 3 p.m. on Sunday, and since you’ll already be in the Estes Park Center, you’re welcome to enjoy all of their amenities and take advantage of the variety of activities they offer. REGISTRATION For folks attending both days and staying either Saturday night or Friday and Saturday nights, click here to register. For folks who do not need lodging and / or who can only attend one day of the summit, this registration page is for you.
